Corso Cavour, simply known as “corso”, is a characteristic pedestrian street in the old city centre where many shops can be found. It has medieval origins but part of it was demolished during the nineteenth century. The church of Saints Gioacchino and Anna is worth a visit, it was built in 1721 and houses an altarpiece by painter Giuseppe de Albertis from Arona depicting both Saints.
